BACKGROUND KIT proto‐oncogene ligand (KITLG), also known as stem cell factor (SCF), is a ligand of the c‐KIT tyrosine kinase receptor with multiple biological functions. KITLG can exist both as a transmembrane protein and a soluble protein. KITLG is a pleiotropic factor which is found in diverse cancers and is involved in cell proliferation, differentiation, and survival. KITLG is a new hallmark of type A and AB thymomas which induce a series of aberrant alteration of mRNA, miRNA and DNA methylation. This protein can augment the proliferation of both myeloid and lymphoid hematopoietic progenitors in bone marrow culture. SCF plays an important role in the hematopoiesis during embryonic development. KITLG may be used along with other cytokines to culture HSCs and hematopoietic progenitors. In many studies we could know KITLG is perhaps another area for the exploration of thymoma with autoimmune disease. Data SDS-PAGE Bioactivity Active Recombinant Human KITLG Protein was determined by SDS-PAGE with Coomassie Blue, showing a band at 22-30 kDa.
